Deep well Hand pump India Mark II
Under the Hand pump project of the UNDP/World Bank, a consumers testing laboratory in the U.K. conducted extensive trials in the early 1980s of twelve different deep well Hand pumps from all over the world, including France, Holland, Canada, Sweden, U.K., U.S.A. and India. The pump India Mark II was concluded the best for community water supply. The entire Pump is Hot Dip Galvanised.

These are manufactured as per Bureau of Indian Standards IS 15500 - 2004, covering hand pumps for lifting water from wells of depth 20m to 50m. Above 50m, the efforts put in for pumping may not give adequate results in terms of discharge of water and therefore extra deep well hand pump should be used.
India Mark III Hand Pump , VLOM 65 manufactured as per IS:15500 / 2004 is a modified version of India Mark II Hand Pumps. The word VLOM is abbreviated form for Village Level Operation & Maintenance which itself signifies easy maintenance by village mechanic.
The basic difference in India Mark III Hand Pumps & India Mark II Hand Pumps is that here pump has open top cylinder which facilitates easy maintenance of plunger Assembly and check Valve Assembly by pulling out from the cylinder without pulling out the Cylinder / Riser pipe.

Deep well Hand pump India Mark III VLOM 50
India Mark III Hand pump VLOM 50 manufactured as per IS:15500 / 2004. It is modified version of India Mark III VLOM 65 mm pump where 50 mm diameter G.I. / P.V.C pipes are used instead of 65 mm pipes.
It consists of the followings assemblies : • Pump Head with Handle Assembly • Water Tank Assembly • Stand Assembly • Connecting Rod • Cylinder Assembly • Riser Pipe of 50 mm (G.I / P.V.C)

Force and Lift Hand pump
Force and lift hand pumps is very much useful of supply of water for cleaning purpose of Public Toilets in Urban and Rural areas. The Force & Lift hand pump is installed upto a maximum depth of 90 mtrs. On the existing / already drilled base wells. The water available by this pump is stored in a storage tank installed upto 6 mtrs. (20 ft.) above ground level.
SALIENT FEATURES OF THE PUMP
• It is suitable for 100 / 125 / 150 mm diameter bore wells with maximum static water level upto 80 meters and depth 90 meters. • The discharge of this pump is about 10 / 15 liters per minute. • Low capital and repairs / maintenance cost. • This pump is most suitable in the areas where there is no electricity supply. • Since storage tank is utilized with the installation of Force & Lift Pump, water is made available throughout the day & night. • India Mark II, India Mark III VLOM 50 and extra deep well hand pump may be used for this purpose.
EXTRA DEEP WELL HANDPUMP
This pump is basically India Mark II Hand Pump with few modifications in Head, Handle & Cylinder Assembly for extracting water from greater depth. They are suitable for static water levels varying between 50 & 90 meters where placement of cylinders can be upto 85 meters. The inner diameter of the bore well, where these pumps are being manufactured as per BIS specifications IS :15500 / 2004.
Direct Action Hand pump (TARA)
Tara Hand pump is a UNICEF designed water pumps which operates both downward and upward stroke of the piston. All the ground parts of this pump are made of non-corrosive material like P.V.C and Stainless Steel. So this pump is most durable. This hand pump is suitable for lifting water from bore well with static water level not exceeding 15 mtrs. It is safer from bacterial contamination and corrosion problems

Shallow Well Hand pump (Singrur)
This is a simple and Robust C.I. Hand modified by UNICEF by making certain design of Nepal No.6 pump. The plunger uses a moulded PVC Cup seal with two 3 mm disc (Electroplated) and the check Valve is a floating valve system of Nitrile Rubber with M.S. Weight.
It consists of following parts : • Pump base with floating valve • Pump body • Pump head with fulcrum • Handle • Plunger rod assembly
The pump body is made of cast iron. The piston rod is made of 12mm dia. bright bar, electro-galvanized. The total weight of the complete suction pump is approximately 32kg.
Advantages : • A sliding plate has been provided on the top of the head to prevent water contamination • Can work upto a depth of 7 meters. • A low cost pump which gives high discharge. • Extremely sturdy and capable of withstanding rough usage, practically no maintenance even after extensive use. • Suitable for community water supply. • Very reliable Valve System and durable PVC Cup seals. • Maintenance is very simple and requires only basic tools. • Much higher discharge than any comparable pump.
AFRIDEV HAND PUMP
The Afridev Deep well Hand pump has emerged from field trials in Africa and currently its specification is controlled by SKAT, Switzerland. Currently, there are three revisions of this pump. This is also VLOM (Village Level Operation & Maintenance pump) means open top cylinder.
ADVANTAGES : • The Above-ground mechanism consists of sturdy Mild Steel (MS) fabricated Pump Head, Handle and Pedestal assemblies, hot dip galvanised for corrosion resistance. • Bearing bushes for the pivot assemblies are made from injection moulded special grade plastic. • Variable handle settings are possible to meet changes in static water levels. • Customisation of spout length and Pedestal is possible. • Standard below-ground mechanism comprises of 10mm dia., Hot Dip Galvanised connecting rods, 63mm OD PVC Riser pipes with cemented joints and PVC jacketed 50mm ID brass lined cylinder assembly. • 225mm stroke length of the handle provides a water discharge of 1350 litres per hour with an installation depth range between 15m to 45m below-ground water. • Easy to install, can be accomplished by village women mechanics. • Alternative stainless steel lined cylinder available for aggressive water conditions. • Quick release Eye & Hook tool-less ends on Connecting Rods with rubber centralizers facilitate maintenance and protect the riser pipe against internal wear. • Special tools for installation & maintenance of Afridev is available.
MALAWI TREADLE PUMP
Above Pump is most commonly used for irrigation purpose in Malawi and other African countries. It is human powered pump designed for small scale Irrigation. It lifts water from shallow wells & surface sources like ponds, rivers etc. It can be operated by either one person or two persons.
Main Features of pump. : • High capacity 5000 liters / hour from depth of 5 meters and is capable of delivering discharge upto 3 metes height and 20meter horizonatal distance. • It is portable and can be moved from one place to another • Can easily be assembled & dismantled. Hot Dip Galvanized at our in - house Hot Dip Galvanizing plant as per BS : 729 Standards. All fasteners are electroplated. • Double Cylinder pump so both downward and upward stroke delivers water hence optimum utilization of human energy spent is achieved.
The pump comprises of two Cylinders, wooden base board Inlet pipe with treadle support, piston fod, handle, CI Pulley, Piston Seals, Piston Discs, Intermediate Washer, Rubber Gasket for base board, Polypropylene rope, Flap valve, Valve Holding plate bolted in Valve box and electroplated fasteners as required.
Metal and Bamboo Treadle Pump
The Treadle Pump is a variation on the standard treadle pump that allows water to be lifted above the level of the pump itself. This greatly increases the versatility of the pump.
